Ich habe ein Tier gekauft, aber es ist wahrscheinlich nicht die Art welche auf papier steht.

Auf der Messe in Houten, alarmiert mich jemand darüber und sagen, welche Art es war, dachte er.
Nun frage ich mich, können Sie mir sagen, welche art diese ist?

Ich bin neugierig!!!!

we were also in Houten and have seen one of this species.
It is Phelsuma sundbergi longinsulae.
What is shown on the papers ??

Ich sag mal es ist Phelsuma madagascariensis madagascariensis allerdings mal unter vorbehalt!!

Mal schauen was die anderen dazu sagen!! Als was wurde dir denn das Tier verkauft??

The papers say it's Phelsuma astriata semicarinata

The person I spoke to in Houten told me it probably is Phelsuma sundbergi longinsulae, he told me this because he
knew the animal I have know and new where it came from.

Torsten, it's a petty I didn't see the animal in Houten, since I only have 1 specimen here (male).
The animal on the pictures is not bought in Houten. Was the animal in Houten a ?

Can you tell me what makes this animal a sundbergi longinsulae?

the P.sundb.longinsulae we have seen in Houten was a .
P.sundb.longinsulae are bigger than the Phelsuma astriata semicarinata, the red dots on the back are often more scattered and the intersection between bottom and back side is more sharp at Phelsuma astriata semicarinata.
See here a species of the P.astr.semicarinata for example.

But I have to agree that the similarity between this two species is very high.
Hmm, don't know if these try of explanation will be helpful for you. Maybe you should examine some pictures of both species by your own. You will find pictures here in the gallery or on my side or on phelsumaweb.

I indeed heard of the pattern of the red dots on the back

I'm going to compare pictures on the net (I already tried with google, but then I'm not sure if the person
posting the images is sure about what species he's posting , of course the change of this
happening on the phelsuma fora is a lot smaller!!)
